One of our favourite entrepreneurs, Dato’ Vijay Eswaran, has been featured in Forbes Asia’s 2011 list of top philanthropists in Asia. The list includes big names like Azim Premji, Chairman of software services giant WIPRO, to action superstar Jackie Chan. All in all, the list featured 48 generous philanthropists – four from each country.
Vijay Eswaran is currently the Executive Chairman of the QI Group of Companies – a conglomerate that spans 180 countries, through its wide range of subsidiaries. He was a co-founder of QuestNet, a modern network marketing company that leverages off the power of the Internet.
Despite the enormous success, Dato’ Vijay Eswaran is a philanthropist at heart and always makes it a point to contribute back to society through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs via the RYTHM Foundation. Some of the CSR projects have included providing aid to flood victims in Pakistan, providing communication equipment to Haitian rebuilding efforts and raising money for autistic children in Hong Kong via the Rainbow Project.
